Who is Lighthouse Yoga PDX?

Lighthouse Yoga PDX is a community-centered space rooted in the values of accessibility, affordability, and inclusion. While yoga is the practice that brings us together, it’s the connections we build that create something lasting—a neighborhood sanctuary for healing, growth, and shared support.

Think of us as your personal safe harbor, where wellness is prioritized over fitness, and everyone is welcomed as they are. Through our diverse classes, workshops, and events, we foster a sense of belonging that nurtures both the individual and the collective spirit.

Here, community isn’t just something we talk about—it’s what we live. Step into a circle where compassion, peace, and unity thrive.

The Power of Connection

Community is the heartbeat of Lighthouse Yoga. Every class, workshop, and event is an opportunity to connect—both with your inner self and with those around you. By nurturing this inner connection, we strengthen our relationships, our lives, and our shared world. We believe that life is meant to be enjoyed, and having safe spaces allows us to nurture that joy.

We are committed to being a safe and inclusive space for all, honoring people of every gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and spiritual practice. Our community thrives on the diversity each person brings, co-creating an environment where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.

At Lighthouse, connection is at the core of everything we do—building a space where we inspire one another to live with authenticity, compassion, and love.

“Understand through compassion or you will misunderstand the times.”

Hiya! I’m Rebecca and I’m the proprietor of Lighthouse Yoga PDX

I discovered yoga during a challenging time when I felt scared and overwhelmed, and it saved my life. As a single parent, I needed structure and healing for myself and my family. Establishing a regular practice helped me quit drinking and has been key to my growth, allowing me to be present and navigate both the challenges and joys of life.

Having faced financial and physical hurdles, I understand how difficult it can be to access wellness practices. This fuels my passion for making yoga affordable and inclusive, ensuring everyone has the chance to discover its benefits and nurture their autonomy over their bodies and minds.

My garden is my sanctuary, where I grow food and medicine—an act I view as both radical and a spiritual connection to the earth. I live with two beloved dogs, including a Furever Foster from Pacific Pug Rescue named Mimi.

Creating Lighthouse Yoga PDX is my dharma and my service to the community and a neighborhood I love. I’m deeply invested in connection and collective care, believing that by fostering a loving and safe environment, we can make the world a better place for everyone.

Lighthouse is more than just a studio; it’s a vibrant community where we walk our paths toward wellness together, supporting one another on this journey of healing and self-discovery.
